Mable took her position as head of the book club seriously. It was a position she felt she’d earned as the longest-standing member. She wasn’t going to let anyone take it away from her. Especially not an outsider.

Gladys had her own agenda. Having her finger on the pulse of the town and knowing all the secrets, she could be able to use them to her advantage. She was willing to do anything to take over the position as head of the book club ladies.

Oscar had never lived in a small town, but he was ready to get out of the rat race of big cities. Was a small town the right fit for him? He was willing to give it a try. When the town gossips, aka The Book Club Ladies, began following him he wasn’t sure what they were after. He had no skeletons in his closet. But what were they after? Why did one certain lady look familiar?

Mable didn’t know what to do when she learned that the man who got away was now living in her town. Could she pretend she’d never met him? Did she want to? Was this a second chance for them?

Gladys was certain Mable had a secret she was hiding and was willing to do anything to discover what it was. But she had her share of secrets. When one particular secret came back to bit her, it turned deadly.
