Imagine you’re picturing the perfect cover for your new book and it involves a mouse in a teacup. That’s where I was, looking to create the cover for my latest Pineapple Port Mystery. Here’s what I ended up using because I couldn’t find the perfect image in my head — mouse in a teacup.
Too late, I discovered imgcreator an AI Image creator. WOW. With this site, you type in a description of what you want AND IT MAKES IT FOR YOU. Whaaa...???
To test it—and the pain of finding the perfect image for that cover still fresh in my mind—I typed in "mouse in a teacup" and got this:
Not quite cute enough, so I got more specific: mouse standing up in a teacup with big eyes got me these:
Wow. Both great. Not enough contrast though, so I added "red" to the description of the teacup:
That second image would have been perfect!! You can see all these say "pro" - so obviously I would need to buy a subscription to get them hi-res enough but it looks like that can be done for $29 a month... which isn't bad considering most of the stock photography I buy is $15 a pop.
