The Soundtrack of Their Lives

What happens to a young couple when the first flush of love fades? Alice and Amos Bell marry in 1925, when flappers and jazz prosper. But their struggles increased with the depression and then the WWII years. Amos Bell must deal with stormy relationships with his children, his wife, and her sister, who are ardent  suffragists and live by their rules, while their world overflows with shows, music, and swing dancing. With Alice’s illness plus Amos’ infidelity, drama explodes, with the German bombs dropping on Yorkshire being the least of their troubles.
