"With the style of E. E. Cummings, George Stumpf expresses what we have all experienced" "Beautiful, thought provoking, stirring. A very talented writer" "The true, RAW, emotions in each piece reach down into the soul and cause a welling up of past experiences and remembrances that allow the reader to thoroughly relate to the author." MELTING ~ THE ACHE OF THE HEART, THE BREATH OF THE SOUL is a poetry book exposing humanity's insecurities, regrets, desires and the hope that never fades. The author, George Stumpf has written this over two decades of happiness and despair and, like Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey, even uses prose writing to touch the core of the agony and ecstasy many people feel. Each poem will take you on a journey and inspire you to explore your emotional intelligence! The MELTING poem book is ultimately about hope and is divided into three chapters, each serving a different purpose. CHAPTER 1 – SPLINTERED When bad things happen, like heartbreak in a relationship or the loss of someone we love, they begin to weigh on us. Our emotional being doesn’t feel whole anymore. The depth of pain and hurt we feel when this happens can be debilitating and extremely difficult to overcome. MELTING shows that we all share these same feelings, even though many believe, incorrectly, these feelings can’t compare with the depth of our own. The only way to truly get through this is to acknowledge our emotions. Only then can we begin to heal. CHAPTER 2 – STRUGGLE The worst possible thing we can do is to measure our lives in comparison to what others are expecting. And yet, we do this all the time. This struggle begins in our heads and progresses to our hearts and bodies. This toll eventually weighs on our souls. This chapter in MELTING is about being conflicted, searching for answers and survival. These poems exemplifies what we all have gone through and helps us to relate to others. CHAPTER 3 – RISE To overcome adversity, you must be connected with something of meaning. To do this, you must truly know yourself and what will make you happy. You must want to sit with this and mull it over until you discover the essence of your being. Some may find the answer pretty quickly. Others may never get the answer. But it’s this exploration, this journey that defines us. And while this is not a relationship book per se, it will help you begin to express your feelings in your relationships. In MELTING'S last chapter, the poems will help you discover your meaning and find what you love.
