The Harder They Fall

Unlike most law firm novels that are told from the lawyers' points of view, The Harder They Fall is related from the “Della Street” perspective. It is set in present time, and its focal point is a large Chicago law firm.  The primary plot involves a secretary who has stumbled upon evidence of the unethical activities of a powerful partner in the law firm in which she is employed.  When she becomes the unintended victim of the corrupt lawyer, her identical twin returns to Chicago and slips into her sister's identity, determined to find out what happened. Its secondary plot involves the reunion of two old friends, which may pique the nostalgic recollections of those sentimentalists who fondly remember their own first love.
