After years of psychiatric counseling and group therapy, Private Investigator Brenda Corrino is finally ready to move on. The cases involving David Fanning and Mark Alexander are long behind her. Brenda was largely responsible for helping to secure Alexander’s conviction for several rapes, including her own. A few years later, she worked undercover to get Fanning to confess to the rape and murder of his own daughter. Brenda and her longtime boyfriend, Dr. Darren Crowe, are now engaged and planning their wedding. Her company, Asked and Answered Private Investigation is doing quite well. She has hired Ava, a retired police detective as a new investigator who has plenty of connections with her old unit, which always adds value. Everything is going great until Ava’s girlfriend, Ciara, a television reporter, goes missing while on assignment.
