Payback or Justice

Just when Jerrod thought he had life figured out, Gwen Hardesty sailed back into his life. They had dated before he moved to Tumbleweed, but it hadn’t been serious. At least, not on his part. Imagine his shock when she was expecting him to propose to her. Angry when he said he had no such intention and learning he was seeing someone else, Gwen starts a series of revenge attacks.

The small attacks on the hotel and restaurant were right up Gwen’s alley. But what about the other things that were happening? Two bears had managed to get into the dumpsters behind the hotel. Could Gwen somehow manage to do that?

When an elderly woman died in the hospital where Blair works, it was assumed to be from natural causes. Or is it murder? After a nurse dies, the police rule it suicide. But Blair is convinced her friend didn’t kill herself. Trying to get the police to see it her way isn’t easy.

When the brakes on Blair’s Jeep fail, was Gwen behind that? Or did the person who killed her friend want to silence her? There is no way to prove who had tampered with them.

Until they figure out who is behind what is going on, Jerrod is determined to protect Blair and the hotel restaurant. Can he do both before the attacks claim their next victim?
