Criminal Novice is the third book in the 'Yucky' Yates series. Former DEA agent and PI Russell 'Yucky' Yates receives a call from Susan Reeves, who runs a cleaning service. The service was started by her former husband, now deceased, who set up crews to clean large mansions. The business is successful but recently, Susan has been getting calls from an individual who would like to have a friend involved in the cleaning. That doesn't seem to add up and she'd like Yucky to check the guy out. Additionally, Yucky gets a call from a former girlfriend who dumped him years back. She thinks her husband is involved in an affair and she'd like Yucky to check it out. That investigation goes haywire almost immediately. At no surprise it's a crazy time for Yucky Yates.
