Worst vacation ever!

Dotty planned to spend summer break before 8th grade exploring haunted places with her friends. But her friends have lives of their own and will be gone most of the summer. Then, blindsided by an unexpected loss, an angry Dotty shuts herself off. Her girlfriend, Hannah, tries to help. Dotty lashes out and they break up.

Her dad decides a change of scenery might break her out of her funk and forces her to come with him to Cleveland. They stay with Grandma Morgan, who recently lost her sister, Dotty’s Aunt Bernice.

Aunt Bernice was an accomplished inventor. Dotty discovers one of Bernice’s final inventions produces high levels of supernatural energy. Her investigation accidently unleashes a giant lake monster on Cleveland’s summer beach crowds. Complicating matters, Dotty finds evidence that Aunt Bernice was murdered

Can Dotty solve the murder? Will she make up with Hannah, or is it time to move on? Can she let go of her anger in time to save Cleveland from a rampaging monster? And if she can’t, will anyone notice?
