Texas series both cozy mystery and romance

Best-selling author Becki Willis loves crafting stories with believable characters in believable situations. Many of her stories stem from her own travels and from personal experiences. (No worries; she's never actually murdered anyone).

When she's not plotting danger and adventure for her imaginary friends, Becki enjoys reading, antiquing--aka junking, unraveling a good mystery (real or imagined), dark chocolate, and a good cup of coffee. A professed history geek, Becki often weaves pieces of the past into her novels. Family is a central theme in her stories and in her life. She and her husband enjoy traveling, but believe coming home to their Texas ranch is the best part of any trip.

Not only is this the start of a new series, but it’s also my attempt into an experimental cross-genre series. (I’m not even sure this is a thing, but I want to try it out.) Cozy Cases of Mystery will feature adventures with ER Nurse Laurel Benson and Police Detective Cade Resnick. Cozy Cases of Romance will feature romantic stories involving the nurses and doctors of Texas General, a small hospital in College Station, Texas (home of Texas A&M University.)

Stories on both sides will be clean, quick, and uplifting.

The only way I’ll know if this works is if you tell me! Love the idea? Hate it? Please let me know what you think by dropping me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Tooth fairies and bogeymen, Puritans and aliens, and robots in love with toasters. Welcome to my worlds.

As a child, Sarina Dorie dreamed of being an astronaut/archaeologist/fashion designer/illustrator/writer. After years of dedication and hard work, most of Sarina's dreams have come true; in addition to teaching art, she is an author/copywriter/artist/fashion designer/belly dancer. She has taught English overseas in South Korea and in the JET program in Japan, where she felt like an alien much of the time which inspired numerous stories. She has shown her art internationally and sold illustrations to magazines and currently works as a high school art teacher.

Sarina Dorie has sold over 150 short stories to markets like Analog, Daily Science Fiction, Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Orson Scott Card's IGMS, Cosmos, and Abyss and Apex. By day, Sarina is a public school art teacher, artist, belly dance performer and instructor, copy editor, fashion designer, event organizer and probably a few other things. By night, she writes. As you might imagine, this leaves little time for sleep.

Now, if only Jack Sparrow asks her to marry him, all her dreams will come true.

Modern Mysteries by Susan Keene

Susan can whip up a gourmet meal, build a table in her workshop, or draw a picture (with the aid of a lightbox).

She writes full time. A lot of her off time is taken up with eight rescue dogs who made their way to her farm over the years. Chili, her dachshund, is the only one that is not a rescue. So it brings the total to nine.

Chili is featured in the Kate Nash Mystery series. She comes at the end of volume one and becomes a part of the fictional family.

USA TODAY bestselling author, M.A. Rothman, is one of the most unlikely novelists you'll ever meet. He's an engineer first and foremost, with a background in the sciences, and somehow or another, this writing habit of his has turned into a bit more than just a run-of-the-mill hobby.

He primarily writes stories that focus on two things: technology and international intrigue. This writing tends to span the genres of science fiction, techno-thriller, and mainstream thrillers.

When not writing, he enjoys cooking, learning about new technology, travel, and spending time with his family.

Also, feel free to visit my co-author's website evelinehart.com and sign-up to receive two free short stories.

Born and raised in a small coastal town in the south I realized at a young age that I was more adventurous than my conservative friends and family. I loved to travel. My passion for travel opened up a whole new world and new cultures to me that I will always be grateful for. I was raised to treasure family. I always knew that at some point in my life I would leave my story book life and become someone's mother, someone's aunt and hopefully someone's grandmother. Little did I know that the birth of my son at a later stage in life would make me the happiest I've ever been. He will always be my biggest achievement. The desire to be a work-from-home mom is what lead me down this path of publishing books.

While I have always loved reading I never realized how much I would love writing until I started. I feel like each one of my books have been influenced by someone or something I've experienced in my life. To be able to share this gift has become a dream come true.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed creating them!

With Love,
Natalie Dean

Gemini Moon: Murder under The Italian Moon (Lella York Mysteries Book 1)A True-Life Murder Mystery with a Connection to Author Maria Grazia Swan!

Most of my stories are inspired by real events and Gemini Moon is not only inspired by something nefarious that really happened, but more so because the victim was a personal friend. She died of a gunshot to the head. Her death was ruled accidental. The shooter? Her husband. This happened in 1990, in Southern California. I knew I had to write about it, I also knew I wanted to do it right.

SL Beaumont is the author of the Amazon best-selling series, The Carlswick Mysteries and the new standalone thriller Shadow of Doubt.

She lives in beautiful New Zealand, which is only problematic when the travel-bug bites (which it does fairly often)! Her passion for travel has seen her take many long haul flights to various parts of the world. Her love of history helps determine the destination and the places she visits are a constant source of inspiration for her.

Prior to becoming an author, SL Beaumont worked in banking in London and New York.

The titles in The Carlswick Mysteries series have been awarded honorable mentions at the San Francisco and New England Book Festivals, and Conspiracy, Deception and Mythology have all been Finalists in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards. The Carlswick Deception was also a Reader's Favorite 2018 YA Mystery Finalist.

To download your free copy of the series prequel novella, check out www.slbeaumont.com | Find her on Facebook

When I set out to write this series, I wanted to write the kind of books that I like to read - usually fast-paced mysteries and thrillers with a bit of romance, strong characters and plenty of plot twists and turns. The Carlswick Mysteries are a great mix of these elements. The series focuses on the mystery genre overall with the romantic relationship between Stephanie and James running through each book. History is a key theme, particularly European history surrounding World War II and its cultural impacts.

Praise for The Carlswick Mysteries:
“A suspense-filled thriller, packed full of twists and turns. Highly recommended.” The Wishing Shelf
“Fast paced and highly entertaining.” Reader’s Favorite

Vance Huxley lives out in the countryside in Lincolnshire, England. He has spent a busy life working in many different fields - including the building and rail industries, as a workshop manager, trouble-shooter for an engineering firm, accountancy, cafe proprietor, and graphic artist. He also spent time in other jobs, and is proud of never being dismissed, and only
once made redundant.

Eventually he found his Noeline, but unfortunately she died much too young. To help with the aftermath, Vance tried writing though without any real structure. As an editor and beta readers explained the difference between words and books, he tried again.

Now he tries to type as often as possible in spite of the assistance of his cats, since his legs no longer work well enough to allow anything more strenuous. An avid reader of sci-fi, fantasy and adventure novels, his writing tends towards those genres.
