A True-Life Murder Mystery with a Connection to Author Maria Grazia Swan!
Most of my stories are inspired by real events and Gemini Moon is not only inspired by something nefarious that really happened, but more so because the victim was a personal friend. She died of a gunshot to the head. Her death was ruled accidental. The shooter? Her husband. This happened in 1990, in Southern California. I knew I had to write about it, I also knew I wanted to do it right.

In my book, Gemini Moon, the roles are reversed, the wife shoots the husband. Because of my strong friendship with the woman whose death inspired the story, I describe her as she really was in life, pretty, smart, funny, bubbly and full of love. R.I.P. Yvonne. Yvonne was the Editor of a monthly magazine, she freelanced on the side. The day she was shot, she fell face first, on top of the manuscript she was editing. It was my first mystery. Love Thy Sister.

SL Beaumont is the author of the Amazon best-selling series, The Carlswick Mysteries and the new standalone thriller Shadow of Doubt.

Prior to becoming an author, SL Beaumont worked in banking in London and New York.

When I set out to write this series, I wanted to write the kind of books that I like to read - usually fast-paced mysteries and thrillers with a bit of romance, strong characters and plenty of plot twists and turns. The Carlswick Mysteries are a great mix of these elements. The series focuses on the mystery genre overall with the romantic relationship between Stephanie and James running through each book. History is a key theme, particularly European history surrounding World War II and its cultural impacts.
Praise for The Carlswick Mysteries:
“A suspense-filled thriller, packed full of twists and turns. Highly recommended.” The Wishing Shelf
“Fast paced and highly entertaining.” Reader’s Favorite

Vance Huxley lives out in the countryside in Lincolnshire, England. He has spent a busy life working in many different fields - including the building and rail industries, as a workshop manager, trouble-shooter for an engineering firm, accountancy, cafe proprietor, and graphic artist. He also spent time in other jobs, and is proud of never being dismissed, and only
once made redundant.
Eventually he found his Noeline, but unfortunately she died much too young. To help with the aftermath, Vance tried writing though without any real structure. As an editor and beta readers explained the difference between words and books, he tried again.
Now he tries to type as often as possible in spite of the assistance of his cats, since his legs no longer work well enough to allow anything more strenuous. An avid reader of sci-fi, fantasy and adventure novels, his writing tends towards those genres.

Eliza Lainn is the author of the Apparition Investigation series. She loves fantastical stories full of magic, mayhem, and monsters, though she's been known to read through some science fiction now and again. She has an unhealthy obsession with billowing coats, can't throw a battle axe to save her life, and daydreams constantly about what it would be like to have superpowers.
When not writing, she's probably losing at a new board game against her brother or going for meandering walks around her Texas town.

I am an award-winning staff writer for a weekly community newspaper chain in metro Detroit. I became hooked on romance fiction when my 11th grade English teacher rejected the book report I wrote, saying the book was much too easy for me, and insisted I read and report on Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca." I read Margaret Mitchell's "Gone With the Wind" that previous summer.
I took a long road through J-school, graduating from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in '95, just shy of 20 years after I finished high school, raising a couple kids, working part-time and doing my homework while my husband and kids watched TV. Still I found time to read what my kids called my "mush books."
I love the romance genre and love letting my characters take control of their stories. I am a member of the Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America. I write under the pen name of Tara Eldana.

Astrid Vogel de Johnsson is a South African author and anthropologist now residing in Sweden. In early childhood, she showed an interest in reading and languages--interests which her family encouraged. Astrid started writing her first novel at age 12 and now writes high fantasy, exploring her passion for cultures and languages. She is fluent in five European languages. She is happily married with two adorable children. When she isn't writing, Astrid likes to read, take walks in nature, play silly games with her children, do embroidery, and play music.
Astrid writes transformation fiction: incorporating transformation principles in novels, rather than writing another self-help book. Astrid is also interested in minority group questions, considerations on social standards of beauty and the negative consequences these have, and would like to make the fantasy genre accessible to people of non-white, non-Christian backgrounds. Astrid feels the fantasy genre has become too restrictive with limited representations of race, ethnicity and culture. She seeks to explore other paths on this writing journey, incorporating her background in anthropology and psychology to create engaging experiences which also provide food for thought on the diverse topics she finds most important. These include: racism, minority rights, cultural diversity, culture change, intolerance, humanity's environmental impact and much more.
